Pameran Karya Arsitektur "GOOD DESIGN GOOD LIFE | Melanjutkan Jogja yang Tumbuh kian Urban"

Akhir Mei mendatang, rekan-rekan Arsitektur UGM angk.2006 mencoba memulai upaya baru, ber-spekulasi dengan masa depan Kota Jogja.

Sebagai pijakan awal yang melatar belakangi kegiatan ini , kami percaya bahwa Kota Jogja tengah berada pada momentum perubahan. Berubah bukan untuk bertransformasi menjadi Jakarta--yang kosmopolitan namun mendorong rasa frustasi, melainkan dalam upaya merebut kembali ke-bersahajaan kota Jogja. Marco Kusumawijaya, arsitek penulis kota, menggambarkan bahwa,"...Di Yogya ada kepadatan yang tidak menyesakkan, kedekatan yang tidak mengimpit, kemudahan yang tidak memanjakan, keleluasaan dan kesantaian yang tidak mengabaikan karma, serta perhitungan akal yang makin memuliakan rasa..." (Kota Rumah Kita).

Momentum perubahan tersebut terasa begitu nyata dengan inisiasi politik (political will) yang positif dari Pemerintah Kota Yogyakarta. Indikasinya dengan mudah terasa secara fisik, Taman Pintar, land-banking di tengah kampung, hingga program Sego Segawe. Paparan proyek-proyek tersebut kembali bermuara pada kenyataan bahwa, great architecture is built with strong (political) support.

Berjalan seiring dengan momentum perubahan melalui inisiasi politik yang kuat, karya Taman Kota merupakan upaya merebut kembali "keintiman di ruang khalayak" pada ruang-ruang kosong (lost-space) di tengah kota Jogja. Rancangan taman kota tersebut sekaligus menjadi sumbang-saran terhadap rencana pengembangan Pemerintah Kota Yogyakarta. Sebagai tahap incremental, rancangan taman kota melakukan intervensi desain pada lahan eks-Pasar dan Terminal Terban, sedangkan sebagai visi, rancangan taman kota mencoba ber-spekulasi terhadap lahan milik privat yang memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan sehingga memberi kontribusi terhadap masyarakat dan ekologi kota.

BREAKING AND ENTERING takes you inside the council housing of London and the rough edges of Kings Cross with a look at the difference in the relationships of a Bosnian Refugee and her son, in contrast to that of a London Architect and his partner, and her autistic daughter. When their paths meet through "breaking and entering" their stories collide in a film with solid performances from the cast.

Remembering the bombing of Kings Cross in 2005, and having lived in that area as a graduate student at London University, the film location was such an interesting match for the darkness of the characters, and their own issues and complexity. The shots of the Camden Locks, and the trees that dot the water, made the story come alive with watching Law and Binoche, and the son, Miro, each with their own problems to solve.

BREAKING AND ENTERING is a timely film as it shows the "melting pot" of London with its different races and refugees who have created a city of millions who have arrived in England to escape their past. And that is also the case of Robin Wright Penn's character and her daughter from Sweden. The characters journeys come to a conclusion which fits the theme of redemption and moving beyond the past. A very complex, but a satisfying film.

Hmmm... Seriously I'm so jealous to see my friends make their own blog and always update everyday (because of dijital arsitektur lecturer)..
And now (on fire) I'll update my own blog... Haha...

Let's see... Ok first I'll tell u about my new hobby. I've interested of photography since on High School but u know, there's something make me stop to did that. haha.. yeah Camera, I haven't got camera till 3 months ago I decided to bought my own D-SLR Camera and yes, the works begin.. Since that day, i've take some picture and get some responds from my friends and really... it's so nice... make me feel great. Haha, thank you so much fellaz...

Have a date with thing...

Wew... i'm so sorry for leaving this blog so long.. haha ( i think u don't care). Ok ok... I'm so happy after done my studio 5 design.. A semester design, a semester date with paper and pencil, 10 days date with lovely blackarobo(my notebook name), 2 days date with mounting paper (expensive one and success make my and my friends pockets empty) haha and also cutter of course... This day i did my presentation and here's my final design...




Yup yup... The main idea is to make a hotel that have an urban space. Yogyakarta have a lots of people that need to share, communicate and meet each other. Beside the main function of the building (hotel), this building must accomodate people life style. The most famous urban area in Yogyakarta is Malioboro. So this design want to make an ambience of Malioboro. I make a flowed site plan to present a crowded ambience like in Malioboro. People can shoping in retail that face each other. Of course its my bussiness strategy of this Bussiness hotel. Enjoy...
